The morning of the wedding actually started late the night before with Chris and Jeff finishing off the wedding favor cds that just didn't get done before hand. A few were done in my defense! When we got up in the morning Jeff treated me to a breakfast which was delicious and a great start to the day. After that we left to finish off last minute decorating at the reception and to drop off the cds. Meanwhile Tara and the girls were enjoying a breakfast at Coffee Cabin after getting their hair done. Of course we all had to meet up as Tara had the car and I needed the keys. Naturally! Of course we observed the no seeing the bride before the wedding and Jeff went in and got the keys. With the keys in hand we proceeded to the legion to finish off the decorations. We had an amazing balloon arch that was designed by the Blue Balloon as well as several other balloon clusters. With the hall decorated we rushed back to the house to meet up with Nathan to get our tuxes on, of course I forgot something again and we had to make a quick last minute stop at the dollar store to get sunglasses as we wanted them for photos. We ended up getting back to the house and beating Nathan so all was good. The wedding started off great. I was actually fairly calm, and so was Jeff, so everything went great there. The service started and Tara had written a letter and a sappy song for me. Which of course had me tearing up. Then she came down the aisle and yes she was beautiful. Be sure to check out the pictures of all of us over in the photo album. Then we read out our vows to each other that we had written ourselves. When it came time for the rings to be exchanged my fingers were so sweaty that I actually dropped the ring, not once, but twice. Everytime I tried to get my fingers around it the thing slipped out of my hands again. Of course everyone got a chuckle out of this. The rings finally on our fingers we finished off the ceremony and signed the register. It was then off to the locks for pictures. We were lucky enough to have two great photographers, Tara's Uncle Al, and Brenda Ashenden (a friend of ours from high school). They both took great pictures. After that it was back to the legion for the party and dinner. It was an awesome feast that was catered by Casual Gourmet Restarant. There were lots of great speechs, but the ones that stand out in my mind were the references of Chris looking like Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) and Jeff juggling and metaphor of life being like juggling how you always have to have all your balls in the air and occasionally another one will get added making it even more difficult. Another highlight was the photo slide show Karen put together with picture of Tara and Chris growing up and together. The accompanying music was Jonas Brother's When You Look Me In The Eyes, and Faber Drive's When I'm With You. Coming Soon: The Honeymoon |
