IIn a time long past two young people were growing up not thinking much of the future.  Each were headed in completely different directions in life.  The boy didn't know much about girls and although he had dated a few he was still utterly clueless when it came to that stuff.  Our story starts on the day each of them enter "High School".

The first day of school especially starting a new school is often met with excitement and nervousness.  This was no exception for Chris McKnight who was a quiet boy who had a small circle of friends and for the past couple of years had dated a few girls none of them really serious though. During the first few weeks of school he met a chipper girl by the name of Tara Welch.  Now the two acted shy around each other at first, but as time went on the two got to know each other better and a friendship developed.  It was obvious to his classmates that he was starting to get a bit of crush on Tara and they would often bug him by saying things like when are you going to ask her out. It was during one of these pestering sessions that he did just that. He leaned forward and asked Tara if she would like to go out on a date.  It surprised his classmates and himself as well that he had got the nerve to ask her out right in front of the whole class.

So the two went out on a date like most couples do to I believe it was a bowling alley.  They had a great time and afterwards Chris tried to lean in to kiss her, which caught Tara completely off guard and made her jump.  To make matters worse her dad came along shortly afterwards and embarrassed them both by catching them kissing.  The two continued to date for a bit, but found they were better suited as friends.  They developed a strong friendship bond that later would be referred to as more of a brother/sister bond.  They shared secrets together, did school work together, helped each other through times of trouble and frustration.  Then finally came the day that they both graduated high school and were set to leave their hometown and friends to better equip themselves for the cruel real world aka Adulthood.

As luck would have it or faith as it would later be called the two went off to the same college.  They each had decided to live on residence and being from the same hometown they often hung out together to do laundry or just hang out.  Though Chris was dating someone else they were often found together hanging out.  They were the best of friends and each others support when they were up at college.  The year ended and both of them found that college was just not for them and as a result neither of them returned to college the following year.  Back in their hometown and neither of them in high school anymore they had to join the working world.  Over time the two lost contact and aside from bumping into each other on the streets didn't have much contact with each other.  It was thought by many that the strong bond would end there, but fate has a way of bring things together again that were meant to be.

Years passed and although Chris thought he had moved on in his life he found that he was not happy and he was tired of things not working anymore.  He decided that it was time to make some changes in his life and as a result moved back home.  It was around the same time that Chris and Tara would find themselves back in each others lives again.  The two started exchanging emails and Chris found Tara to be just as supportive, understanding, and caring as she had been later in life.  It was through Tara and her friend Crystal that Chris found the lord.  Finally Chris had found the inner peace and love that he had been missing all his life.   Time passsed and the two started getting really close again and when Chris was single again Tara took the opportunity to ask him out, to which Chris was only too pleased to say "YES!"
