I wrote this prayer for myself with all the troubled things in my life, but I'm sure we all can relate.  I invite you to say this pray and to add your own spin on it.  God does wonders for us all and we need to remember that he has the power to heal.  All we have to do is ask for it.

Dear God,

Grant me strength in my time of need.  Give me the courage to face what I must face, the power to change what I must and the ability to walk away when it is out of my control. 

Times are hard and I'm lost.  I have no where to turn everything seems to be falling apart underneath me.  In this hour of need I seek your protection, your wisdom, and your guidance. 

Though I think I know everything I realize in this dark hour that I know nothing of the world.  Everything isn't black and white, but rather shades of gray.  I've never understood that meaning fully until now.  Nor did I understand how people could claim to be good that are so evil to the bone it is apparent to everyone else.

So I pray one more time.  God grant me strength, wisdom, courage, determination, and anything else you feel I need to deal with these dark hours and troubled times in the future.
